Of the 61 per cent of staff who participated in the survey, an overwhelming majority of 97 per cent voted in favour of the new agreement. Some employees are not covered by a bonus or enterprise agreement. These workers are subject to a national minimum wage scheme for a minimum wage safety net. The Staff Association`s bargaining analysis document indicates the status of all contractual clauses for companies during negotiations and will be updated immediately after the trading sessions. Enterprise agreements and modern bonuses contain minimum rights for wages and conditions of employment. Enterprise agreements must not contain illegal content (for example. B discriminatory or offensive conditions). If you are not covered by an agreement, your minimum wages and conditions will probably be set by a modern premium. National Employment Standards (NES) are minimum standards that cannot be overturned by the terms of agreements or business bonuses. A vote by all staff on a new EA is expected to take place in September 2020. Representatives of the Staff Association will hold a series of national online membership meetings to allow for a comprehensive analysis of the proposed EA content. All CSIRO employees are cordially invited to participate. Contact an organizer, delegate or email [email protected] for more information.
The results of a survey of union members conducted in May 2020 indicate strong support from CSIRO staff for the conclusion of negotiations and a vote by all employees on the current Enterprise Agreement (EA) proposal. The results come from the vote of all staff and CSIRO staff voted in favour of the adoption of the proposed Enterprise Agreement (EA). Watch a short video in which you thank the members and welcome the new EA. Of the more than five hundred staff association members who participated in the survey, 78 percent, or nearly four respondents, said they supported EA`s proposal. Formal negotiations are complete and the proposed Enterprise Agreement (EA) was recently definitively approved by the Australian Public Utilities Commission (APSC). It is time for CSIRO staff to have a say in the proposal by voting on all staff in September.
